Family Services of Chemung County is a private, non-profit organization that has been serving Chemung County for more than 150 years. We offer professional counseling, crisis, case management, home care and other community based supportive services to youth, adults and families who are experiencing emotional or personal challenges, have experienced a traumatic life event or are concerned about other biological or environmental factors adversely impacting their emotional well-being.

Family Services of Chemung County provides services that foster resiliency in traumatized and hurting children, strengthen social and community supports for individuals and families, and provide hope and recovery for those battling mental illness.
Every person seeking help at Family Services of Chemung County receives the same care regardless of their age, race, creed, national origin, religious affiliation, gender or sexual orientation.

Fees for service are reimbursable through Medicaid, Medicare, and private health insurance. Family Services of Chemung County serves all patients regardless of ability to pay. A sliding fee scale is also offered based on family size and income.
