Chief Operating Officer

Job Summary: This role is responsible for overseeing the administration of all agency programs and ensuring the program leaders and staff are given the support they need to operate highly effective and operationally efficient programs that provide responsive services of the highest quality. As the corporate compliance officer and privacy officer this role also ensures our documentation standards and quality of care standards are properly and consistently met.

Requirements: Applicants are expected to possess a master’s degree in public administration, health care management, social work, or a related field and 5-7 years of progressive supervisory experience in a social service setting. Prior experience working in an Office of Mental Health licensed clinical program is strongly preferred; experience working in a PROS, Care Management or Home Care program is a plus. Alternately, an individual with a clear passion for community services and a deep understanding of the services we provide AND with significant and accomplished experience as a leader, project manager, and operations specialist, may also be considered.


The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, be operationally focused, a systems thinker, a problem solver, and able to plan and strategize for programmatic growth.  program growth and/or change. develop and implement programmatic policies and procedures. Strong writing and data analysis skills are a must. Must be organized, detailed oriented, able to respond quickly to administrative needs while concurrently managing several projects with different timelines and objectives.


  • Provides administrative oversight over all program operations including Clinic, PROS, Care Management, Compeer, Homecare, and CAC.

  • Oversees, reviews, and as needed completes, all tasks associated with programmatic audits and site reviews, and as needed, the completion of performance improvement plans.

  • Oversees the effective use of the electronic health records and all other client documentation databases.

  • Collaborates with the CFO in overseeing the completion of all county reporting and all other client data reporting and financial reporting associated with funding agreements and government contracts.

  • Facilitates client satisfaction surveys and analyses/ reports on the results.

  • Provides supervisory oversight and support to all program directors.

  • Oversees HIPAA compliance requirements, corporate compliance program, and all other regulatory requirements associated with agency programs; serves as the agency’s privacy officer.

  • May be called upon to attend meetings associated with DSRIP, FLIPA, FLPPS, and other community consortiums when/if the CEO is unavailable.

  • Participates, engages, listens, and learns in individual and team meetings.

  • Responsible to represent the agency in the community with courtesy and professionalism.

  • Responsible to review and adhere to all agency policies and procedures.

  • Other assignments and tasks may be added at the discretion of the CEO.
