M.I.C.A. Intensive Outpatient Services
PHILOSOPHY
Family Services of Chemung County, Inc. (FSCC), is a Not-For-Profit agency, dedicated to serving the needs of the mental health community with personal and ethical treatment provided by a responsive and dedicated staff. The FSCC Mental Health Clinic (MHC) operates under a license from the New York State Office of Mental Health.
Mentally III Chemically Addicted (MICA) Intensive Outpatient Services works in conjunction with Intensive Outpatient Services to provide a variety of treatment options, using a multi-disciplinary team approach. The MICA program is designed to address and treat both mental health issues as well as a substance abuse or dependence issues at the same time.
There are three phases to our MICA Program:
- Phase I is our MICA IOP, a minimum of three months in duration.
- Phase II is our Relapse Program, approximately two duration.
- Phase III is our MICA Support Group which is long-term, providing on-going support through recovery.
PROGRAM SERVICES
MICA Intensive Outpatient Services through the FSCC MHC, offers an individualized, intensive, short-term program, designed to:
- Provide structured, therapeutic services for adults with acute and persistent mental health and substance abuse problems.
- Promote, educate and develop recovery strategies for addiction and mental health Issues.
- Offer early intervention, case management, individual and group therapy, support, psycho-education, and psychiatric evaluation services and treatment, in a therapeutic, safe environment.
- Encourage vocational and educational rehabilitation opportunities through community resources.
- Provide an alternative level of care for MICA consumers in the community, in the least restrictive environment.
- Provide support and education to consumer families.
REFERRALS AND ADMISSION
Any individual in need of MICA Services may be referred directly to our program at (607) 737-2490 for an intake evaluation. Any referring agency may use the same process. Family Services works in cooperation with established treatment resources in the community to benefit the consumer's individual direct service needs.
Consumers must be at least 18 years of age.
