Our Mental Health Care
We provide a wide array of community based outpatient mental health services for children, adolescents, adults and families, including information and referral, psychosocial assessment, health assessment, crisis intervention, psychiatric evaluation, medication therapy, individual, couples, family and group therapies, symptom management, support and case management.
Chemung County contracts with Family Services to provide, the public with an accessible mental health clinic in the county.
OUR PROGRAMS INCLUDE
Crisis Intervention when a crisis occurs the Crisis Program is the first to respond. They help stabilize a situation and lessen the impact of a distressing situation or critical incident.
Urgent Care Services
For individuals in need of immediate mental health assessment, psychiatric evaluation, medication therapy' assessment, and referral.
General Clinic Services
For identified mental health problems.
Mentally ill Chemically Addicted (MICA) and Seriously & Persistently Mentally ill (SPMI) Treatment Programs
For individuals dually diagnosed with mental illness and chemical addiction, and for the seriously and persistently mentally ill.
Family Services operates on a sliding scale fee basis. Medicaid, Medicare, and most insurances are accepted. No one is denied services for inability to pay.
It is Family Services mission to provide services to residents of Chemung County without regard to gender, race, creed, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, or financial status.
Family Services is a not-for-profit 501 (c)3 charitable organization, serving the residents of the Southern Tier for over 140 years.
